Prosecution of 3 male security guards at a hospital in Lao Cai

Lao Cai Provincial Police have just prosecuted the case and three suspects related to the incident in which a motorbike taxi driver was assaulted right on the premises of General Hospital No. 1.

The people prosecuted are Nguyen Van Khanh, Ngo Van Oanh and Ha Ngoc Vang, all residing in Lao Cai province and are security guards of Dong A JIPI Service Joint Stock Company, Lao Cai branch.

According to the initial investigation results, at about 11:30 a.m. on September 19, H.M.D., a motorbike taxi driver who often transports dialysis patients and their families from the hospital to their accommodation, had a conflict with a group of security guards.

In the main lobby of the hospital, Mr. D. was attacked by three security guards with rubber batons, causing anger and concern to many witnesses.

The police determined that the actions of the security guards caused disorder in the hospital premises and created bad public opinion.

The incident also seriously damaged the hospital’s reputation, Vietnam detective service agency.

Currently, three defendants have been prosecuted for “disturbing public order” and the authorities are continuing to expand the investigation to handle them according to the provisions of the law.
