On November 30, 2024, Mr. B.V.G. took Ms. N. out for a drink in Chau Thanh commune, An Giang province, Vietnam.
Vietnamese detectives, when the two were leaving, Danh Phung, 29 years old, Ms. N.’s ex-boyfriend, appeared and blocked the road.
Phung and Mr. G. had an argument. After that, Phung used a knife to stab Mr. G. in the back.
Vietnam detective service, the incident left the victim injured at a rate of 11%.
After committing the crime, Phung fled the area, Phu Quoc detective agency.
On October 7, 2025, An Giang police issued a wanted notice for Phung for the crime of “Intentionally causing injury”.
After the search, Chau Thanh commune police determined that Phung was hiding in Phu Quoc, Kien Giang province.
On November 16, 2025, the police coordinated to arrest Phung at his hiding place.
He was brought back to his hometown for investigation according to Vietnamese law.
