10,000 bottles of fake perfume discovered in Ho Chi Minh city

Ho Chi Minh city: Authorities discover warehouse containing 10,000 bottles of counterfeit perfume, Ho Chi Minh detective service agency.

On June 21, Market Surveillance Team No. 3, under the Ho Chi Minh city market surveillance department, in coordination with the Cau Ong Lanh ward police district 1, inspected a warehouse on Nguyen Van Cu Street and uncovered a large quantity of suspected counterfeit perfume.

At the scene, authorities found over 10,000 bottles of perfume suspected of imitating well-known brands such as Chanel, Dior, and Gucci.

Ho Chi Minh detective, all of the goods lacked invoices or documents verifying their origin.

The warehouse owner, Ms. L.T.M.T., born in 1995, admitted to renting the space to store smuggled and counterfeit branded perfumes.

She confessed to having sold these products since February 2024 through social media platforms and e-commerce sites.

Each bottle was sold at a price ranging from VND 150,000 to 300,000—significantly cheaper than genuine products.

Initial estimates place the total value of the infringing goods at approximately VND 2 billion (around USD 78,000).

Authorities have sealed the entire inventory and are continuing the investigation to uncover the production and distribution network behind the counterfeit operation.
