Da Nang: Burning down the house of debtor

Nguyen Van Nong, 47, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for burning down the house of the person who owed him money.

The judgment was announced by the Da Nang court on April 15, 2023, Danang detective agency.

He was sentenced to 18 years in prison for murder and 2 years in prison for destruction of property.

In 2020, Nong lent a person 60 million dong, who was then paid 10 million dong.

The remaining 50 million VND, Mr. Nong repeatedly demanded but the debtor did not pay.

Danang detectives service – In July 2022, Nong once burned this person’s house, but failed.

On August 10, Nong poured about 7 liters of gasoline into the debtor’s house, causing a fire.

There was no damage to people, about 7 million VND in property damage.

Every time he came to ask for money, he was scolded by the borrower.

Nong did not intend to kill the victim’s family, but because he was so angry, he caused the above actions.
